Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey's Berserker force

Another week cooped up at Castle Black, another table of Solitairemachine! This time around, I tried some old concept lists that a local player and good friend, Dick Sy, would have wanted to play with - a Man-O-War-heavy list and a Berserker-heavy list!

Used Steamroller 2015's Two Fronts with 50PC forces and both carried Stockpile objectives, Supreme Kommandant Irusk commands multiple units of Man-O-War, taking the field against Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey and his battlefield of Berserker warjacks!

Deployment

Supreme Kommandant Irusk, Conquest, Man-O-War Shocktroopers (leader and four grunts), Man-O-War Shocktroopers (leader and two grunts), two units Man-O-War Demolition Corps (leader and two grunts), Man-O-War Drakhun, Iron Fang Kovnik, Madelyn Corbeau - Ordic Courtesan

Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey; Drago, four Berserkers, Kovnik Andrei Malakov with Juggernaut; Koldun Lord; Widowmaker Marksman; Gun Carriage

Turn 1 Supreme Kommandant Irusk

Supreme Kommandant Irusk allocated one focus to the Conquest. The Iron Fang Kovnik advanced forward and used Shield March on the full unit of Man-O-War Shocktroopers

The full unit of Man-O-War Shocktroopers advanced in Shield Wall, benefiting from Shield March. Supreme Kommandant Irusk activated, cast Tactical Supremacy on the Man-O-War Shocktroopers, and cast Fire For Effect on the Conquest

The remaining force of Supreme Kommandant Irusk advanced up the field

The full unit of Man-O-War Shocktroopers made an end turn advance up the field from Tactical Supremacy

Turn 1 Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey

Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey allocated no focus to his battlegroup. Kovnik Andrei Malakov also allocated no focus to his Juggernaut.The Widowmaker Marksman runs up the battlefield.

Kovnik Andrei Malakov activated and cast Red Line on the Juggernaut and advanced forward

The Juggernaut ran forward and took damage from Red Line

Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey cast Wind Wall and charged forward

The warcaster's charge move was made so that he ended his movement with the Widowmaker Marksman and the Juggernaut in base-to-base contact and inside Wind Wall

Turn 2 Supreme Kommandant Irusk

Supreme Kommandant Irusk upkept Fire For Effect and Tactical Supremacy; and allocated two focus on the Conquest

The Conquest advanced forward and takes a shot at a Berserker outside the Wind Wall

The Conquest's Main Guns hits the Berserker and caught the other Berserker and Drago in the blast

Even with Fire For Effect, damage to the three warjacks was very minimal

The Conquest unleashed Creeping Barrage on the field

The Iron Fang Kovnik advanced behind the Man-O-War Shocktroopers and used Shield March on the unit

The Man-O-War Shocktroopers advanced into Shield Wall

A unit of Man-O-War Demolition Corps advanced behind the Man-O-War Shocktroopers

Supreme Kommandant Irusk charged a Man-O-War Shocktrooper. With Martial Discipline, the warcaster is able to draw line of sight and move through Friendly faction models. 

Supreme Kommandant Irusk dealt damage but not enough to bring down the Man-O-War Shocktrooper grunt. The warcaster checked his control area.

Supreme Kommandant Irusk used his feat, Desperate Ground

Desperate Ground affected a majority of the opponent's force. The rest of Supreme Kommandant Irusk advanced forward.

Man-O-War Shocktroopers made their end turn advance from Tactical Supremacy

Turn 2 Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey

The Widowmaker Marksman ran through the Conquest's Creeping Barrage, took some damage and engaged the Man-O-War Drakhun in the woods

Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey and a lot of the warjacks in his force shuffle over to his left flank closer to their Stockpile and recast Wind Wall

The rest of the force follow the left flank

The Gun Carriage backpedaled but remained contesting the right zone, and dealt some damage to the enemy Stockpile with its ranged weapons

Kovnik Andrei Malakov advanced inside Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey's Wind Wall

Turn 3 Supreme Kommandant Irusk

Supreme Kommandant Irusk did not upkeep any of his spells and allocated three focus on the Conquest

Man-O-War Shocktroopers charged the Gun Carriage and advanced further up the field

Under Martial Discipline, Man-O-War Demolition Corps shuffle through Man-O-War Shocktroopers and took out the Widowmaker Marksman

Man-O-War Shocktroopers charged and dealt damage to the enemy Stockpile

The Man-O-war Drakhun ran and engaged the Juggernaut

The Conquest charged and destroyed one Berserker and the enemy Stockpile

Supreme Kommandant Irusk and the remainder of his forces moved up the field

Turn 3 Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey

Kovnik Andrei Malakov upkept Red Line and allocated three focus to the Juggernaut. Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey activated, cast Signs And Portents, advanced, dismounted the Man-O-War Drakhun and used up all his focus to take him out. The warcaster used his feat, Forced March.

A Berserker advanced and took down a Man-O-War Shocktrooper grunt

Another Berserker charged the other Man-O-War Shocktrooper grunt, dispatched at and dealt damage to the enemy Conquest

Red Line Juggernaut advanced towards the Conquest and inflicted a tremendous amount of damage to the colossal

A Berserker charged the colossal, inflicted more damage but failed to destroy it, leaving only one damage box 

The Koldun Lord advanced into Signs & Portents, cast Frostbite and smashed down the Conquest

Drago charged and took down two Man-O-War Shocktroopers easily, both failed their Tough checks

The Gun Carriage took out the Iron Fang Kovnik with its ranged weapons

The battlefield was strewn with blood and wreckage!

Turn 4 Supreme Kommandant Irusk

Supreme Kommandant Irusk took measure of the battlefield. 

Madelyn Corbeau, Ordic Courtesan used Intrigue to move a Man-O-War Demolition Corps grunt forward

Supreme Kommandant Irusk advanced closer to the enemy warcaster, cast Artifice Of Deviation and Battle Lust on the Man-O-War Demolition Corps in the woods, and took a boosted shot at Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey, but missed

The Battle Lust Man-O-War Demolition Corps was able to charge the enemy warcaster due to Artifice of Deviation

The Man-O-War Demolition Corps' Backswing Ice Mauls bring down Vladimir Tzepesci, Dark Prince of Umbrey!

Supreme Kommandant Irusk victorious!
