TEAM LEAGUE FOR WARMACHINE/HORDES
WHERE: Fortress and Pitshop
WHEN: JULY 2009
WHO: 4 Teams
REGISTRATION: P1,000 per team
TEAMS: Each team is composed of 4 DISTINCT factions. From 1 to 4 players may
comprise a team and each player may play any number of factions (so a team may
have just 1 player play all 4 factions). Factions may be of any combination. Note that
you will NOT be playing against your teammates in any part of the league.
PRIZES: Special COINS will be awarded to all the members of the winning team
and Special PINS will be awarded to all the members of the runner up team. All other players who play in all the necessary games will also be awarded prizes
VENUE/TABLES: Pitshop and Fortress are the venues for this league with the exception of round 3 which will be played on a 4x6 table at Pitshop. Tables will be pre-set with terrain at Pitshop and will be set similar to the below at Fortress

TIME LIMIT : there will be no time limit for the games except that which is
reasonable
The League will be composed of 4 distinct rounds, namely:
1st Round
2nd Round
Semi Finals
Finals

1st ROUND
JULY 1 to JULY 10
Each team member will be randomly matched against one other member from every other team for a total of 3 games. Each team member will be eligible to use his chosen “ACE” for each of those games. Games will be set at 750 pts (unless another pointage has been mutually agreed upon) and all missions for the 1st round will be NO MAN'S LAND (SR4).
Each team is allocated 4 “ACES” which it may allocate to any 4 members of the team. Members must pick different aces. Although there are 5 choices, only 1 per player will be given. The aces are as follows:
1 – LUCKY : Player may Re-roll any 2 die rolls per game. Yes, that includes the starting roll. Each roll may only be re-rolled once.
2 – INSPIRED : Choose 1 non-character/unique model or unit. This model/unit has all of its stats increased by 1 and is fearless.
3 – INTELLIGENCE : Player gets +1 to the starting roll and may give advance deployment to any ONE model/unit below 100 pts.
4 – MONEYED : Player may employ any 1 mercenary/minion solo or minimum size unit for free with no faction requirements. This will even allow WM armies to use a minion(s) and vice versa.
5 – FAVORED : Player may exceed the FA of any model/unit/UA by 1. Uniques and characters remain unique.
Players will be matched randomly prior to the start of the round. And all players must announce their choice of "Ace" within 24 hours of the start of the round. We will do the random matchups at Pitshop/Fortress with witnesses.
If any team member is unable to complete his required game, the game MAY be played by a teammate. However, that teammate will NOT be allowed to use his “ACE” and the opponent will be awarded the starting roll and an extra 75 pts for composition. Only 1 substitution will be allowed per team per round. All other games are considered forfeit and will be marked as a loss. After all games in the first round, all team members tally their scores and that will be the team's score for the 1st round. So theoretically, a team could acquire a best score of 12-0. Teams will be ranked at this point and will be rewarded according to rank.
Example : Team A is composed of Player K, Player M, Player C and Player T. Player K is randomly matched against player 1 of Team B, player 2 of Team C and player 3 of Team D. If player K cannot fulfill any match, player M may substitute for him but his opponent is at +75, wins starting roll and player M may NOT use his “ACE”.

2nd ROUND
JULY 11 to JULY 20
Each team member will be randomly matched against one other member from every other team for a total of 3 games. However, the player may NOT be matched against someone he played against in the 1st round. Games will be set at 750 pts (unless another pointage has been mutually agreed upon) and all missions for the 2nd round will be DESTRUCTION (SR4). Players MUST bring an appropriate item for the scenario which should be a cylinder 2” high and 2” diameter. Any item may suffice as long as it is sufficiently based/grounded (e.g a tissue roll with a stones inside is sufficient). You may NOT use a model to represent this. If a player does not bring an appropriate model, his objective will only have 25 damage boxes instead of 35.
The highest ranked team after round 1 gets a bonus of 200 pts it may split (in 50 pt increments) among its members. The 2nd ranked team gets 150 pts, third 100 pts and the last ranked team gets 50 pts. The extra pointage allocated to the member will be used for all games in the 2nd round.
Players will be matched randomly prior to the start of the round. And all players must announce their choice of bonuses within 24 hours of the start of the round. We will do the random matchups at Pitshop/Fortress with witnesses.
Example: 1st ranked Team allocated 100 pts to player A, 50 to player B and 50 to player C. Player D does not get any extra points. Player A gets to add 100 extra points for EACH game he has in round 2. Points are NOT transferrable once allocated, i.e. you cannot mix and match per opponent.

SEMI FINALS
JULY 21 to JULY 25
Two players per team will be eligible to participate in the third round (teams choose amongst themselves). This is a 2v2 2000 pt game. Each player must field 1000 pts and will only be allowed to control his group/pack. The mission is Throw Down (SR4). Players field 1000 pts each, however, uniques and characters and special restrictions remain enforced per team. So Team 1 may NOT field 2 Alten Ashleys nor may they field a normal Eiryss and an epic Eiryss. Restrictions on animosity also apply so Precursor Knights for example may not be fielded if the other player is playing Cryx. Teams make only 1 starting roll per side and play as if both were one entity. They are still considered different (but friendly) factions so faction specific abilities/spells do NOT affect his teammate.
Example: Team 1 makes 1 starting roll, both players deploy simultaneously and conduct their activations one player at a time. Player 1 completes all his activations, then player 2 proceeds with his. The order MAY be changed but once a player has started he must complete the activation of all his models first before his teammate may proceed with his.
The top ranked team will be matched up against the 4th ranked team whereas the 2nd ranked team will be matched against the 3rd ranked team. The top ranked team may choose any 2 “Advantage”s whereas the 2nd ranked team may choose 1. The Advantages are below:
1 – The team may add 400 pts to their total pointage which may be split between both players in 100 pt increments.
2 – The team may re-roll any 4 die-rolls for the game which may be used by any player.
3 – The team may field any 2 mercenary/minion solo or unit for free with no faction requirements
4 – Choose 2 non-character models or units. Their stats are all increased by +1 and gain fearless and advance deployment.
All participants must announce their choice of advantages PRIOR to the game.
This is an elimination round. The 2 losing teams will not proceed to the FINALS.
As this is a long game (est 3-4 hours), please make proper arrangement. Games will be at a 4x6 table at Pitshop only.

the FINALS
JULY 26 to END
Only the players of the two winning teams in the semi-finals may participate in the finals.
The finals will be composed of 4 games.
Game 1 – Mosh Pit
Game 2 – No Man's Land
Game 3 – Contested Ground
Game 4 – Process of Elimination
All games are 1000pts each. No advantages or aces may be used.
Teams secretly allocate their players into each game. Both allocations will be revealed simultaneously. In addition, each team chooses 1 player to be their “scorer”. If this player wins, he scores double so his win counts as 2 wins. If by some chance there is still a tie, each team chooses 1 player to play a Game 5 – 1000 pts Break the Line
The team which score the most wins is declared the UNHOLY ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS
